MARC is situated at Maryborough Showgrounds & Equestrian Complex, Maryborough's fabulous Showground Equestrian Facility, which is conveniently located on the Bruce Highway just north of Maryborough, Queensland.
Maryborough Showgrounds & Equestrian Complex caters for all equestrian disciplines and includes an indoor arena, huge main showgrounds arena, full campdrafting arena, cutting pen and a recently constructed large outdoor sand arena.
We have 150 stables, excellent cattle yards, clean amenity blocks and full catering facilities adjacent to most areas.
The Maryborough Active Riders Club has approximately 100 members and includes riders and non riding family members ranging from toddlers right through to seniors.
We presently cater for Show and Dressage enthusiasts and our aim is to promote safe riding practice. We provide regular clinics, schools, competitions and fun days to accommodate all levels of riders.
Our goals include the continual growth of the Club and improvements of our assets along with technological advancement to make our club accessible to all.
Apart from regular MARC Days, the Club runs two major open events each year; namely, the Fraser Coast Dressage Championships and the Fraser Coast All Breeds Show. Please send all correspondence via email to a committee member below, or mail to P. O. Box 563, Maryborough, Qld 4650.
Members are encouraged to participate at all our Competition Days and points are awarded throughout the year to riders and their mounts, culminating in the High Point Award Presentations Dinner each December. These Awards are presented at our end of year celebrations.

From Campdrafting, Ray went on to become a competitive Polo x player, playing B Grade for the North Star team and Pony Club Instructor for the North Star Pony Club. Ray then obtained an owners/trainers licence and raced his own Thoroughbred and a leased horse. The slow Thoroughbreds were then used for Dressage and Show Jumping for several years and Ray also had a handy team of Sports Ponies, which he also competed in Cross-Country events. Finally Ray found the world of Show Horses and has been Hacking for the past twenty-five years.

Email: marilyn.costigan@hotmail.com
Marilyn joined the Maryborough Active Riders Club in 1977, the year after its inception.
"I met a couple who had started the local Active Riders Club, Clem and Andy Kelly, when I first moved to Maryborough from Charleville and mentioned to them that we had a couple of ponies that my children rode in Pony Club and that I was interested in learning to ride". They encouraged me to come along to Active Riders on my kids pony and so began the long road to where I am now with my wonderful mare, Maggie (Indigo Girl) who is competing in Dressage at Elementary level and training at Medium. Maggie was an eventer and show jumper when I purchased her in 2006.
Over the years I have held just about every position on the committee of M.A.R.C. President for 12 years, Secretary for 3 years, Treasurer for 1 year, Newsletter Editor for 3 years and Dressage Convenor for 30 years.
